How Can I Help?

Donate Caring For Kids

Partner with a

Local School

With a desire for all children to reach their highest potential, Caring for Kids mobilizes community organizations – churches, businesses, and civic groups – to partner with a local school to inspire hope and help children to impact their world. There are many ways for your organization to serve schools through student support, family engagement and support, staff support, and facility improvement.

We would be happy to meet with you to identify a Caring for Kids school to serve. We are also available to speak to your group about the impact your organization can make in the life of a child. If your organization is interested in partnering with a school, please contact us. You may also contact any of our partnership directors listed below if you already know which district you would like to serve.

Prayer Partnership

Partner in Prayer

Prayer for students, their families, and staff of Kansas City area schools is greatly appreciated, as well as prayer for Caring for Kids Network as we continue to expand into new schools and develop partnerships in current schools. Below are several resources that you may use to guide prayer for schools and the children of KC.

Prayer for Schools Sunday August 12

Prayer For Schools Sunday Image

Caring for Kids is partnering with Citywide Prayer Movement to engage as many churches as we can to pray for the schools on Sunday, August 12. Would you please be a part of this day for united prayer?

  • In your Sunday services, designate some time to pray for the schools, teachers, students and families.
  • Encourage your congregation to include your Caring for Kids school or neighborhood school in their daily prayers.
  • Encourage your congregation to prayer walk around your Caring for Kids school that Sunday after service or during the week when school is not in session.
  • Write a note of encouragement to the principals letting them know that you are praying for them, the teachers and the students.

Prayer resources are listed above that you may duplicate for your congregation. Please contact Cheryl Sipes if you wish to be a School Prayer Champion. We believe your participation in united prayer will prepare the way for a great school year.
