Outdoor Play Space Created Using Recyclable Materials
The community came around Principal Keri Collison’s two-year-old dream of creating an outdoor play space for her students at High Grove Early Childhood Center in Grandview C-4 School District. The space uses recyclable materials and is designed to give students an additional area to burn extra energy in a fun, safe outdoor environment. Volunteers from the Grandview Rotary, City of Grandview, Bank of Blue Valley, Commerce Bank and Grandview High School’s baseball team united with High Grove teachers to paint and lay paver stones, lay tires into the ground, pour concrete, and build balance beams to create a fun obstacle course for the children.
