Fall Activities Supported at Shawnee Mission Elementary

Nieman Elementary’s community partners kicked off fall activities with a cook-out October 1, where they grilled and served hamburgers and hot dogs for parents and students attending a reading and technology function. More than 100 adults and 90 kids attended.

Later in the month the partners provided an Italian dinner and a breakfast for Nieman staff during in-service days. In November, several partners assisted at the week-long Book Fair. Mrs. Myers, the librarian expressed her happiness with the success of the event.
The City of Shawnee, First Baptist Church of Shawnee, Marco’s Pizza, Nelson-Atkins Museum and Amy Rainey partner with Nieman Elementary.
