Desiring to incentivize positive behavior and regular attendance in students at Center Middle School, several of Center Middle School’s community partners have donated items such as sensory objects, trinkets, and snacks to supply their student store where students may purchase items with points they have received. Partners such as First Call and Evangel Church enjoyed shopping from the Amazon Wish List created by CMS social worker, Kathleen Eaton. KC Water Department, which has worked with CMS students regarding the educational park project at 103rd and Wornall, also provided T-shirts and water bottles for the Student Store.

At Center Alternative, the community partners joined forces to write cards of recognition and encouragement to all of the school’s students. School staff delivered the cards to students just before winter break began. Thank you to A.L. Huber, E.S.T. International Ministries/Sweet Chariot Child Care Center, New Zion Missionary Baptist Church, and CornerStone Enterprise for affirming these students!
