Butcher-Greene Elementary School had a drive-through Candy Cane Lane to invite the community to come see some Christmas lights and get some treats and books. “Our partners helped donate the treats, books, masks, and the time to put the bags together. We had a total of 100 kids!” said Laura McCoy, counselor.
One of their Caring for Kids volunteers also created treat bags in November and December for the school’s teachers as a show of appreciation.
As a school, Butcher-Greene is collecting food and other items to donate to the Grandview Assistance Program as a way to give back. “I am excited to see what we can do in 2021!” Ms. McCoy exclaimed.
