We Care about Kids!

The Caring for Kids Network was created out of a desire for Kansas City children to achieve their highest potential. We mobilize sustainable, transformative community school partnerships that inspire hope and help prepare children to impact their world.

How can we help? Caring for Kids functions as a neutral convener to engage the community – churches, businesses and civic groups – around a neighborhood school. It all begins with a simple question for the schools, "How can we help?"

Caring for Kids connects great volunteers and needed resources through a simple four-step process. Since we are a non-profit and are supported by donations, we charge nothing for our services to schools, churches or businesses.

Here's What's Happening

Prayer for Schools Sunday August 13

Caring for Kids is partnering with Citywide Prayer Movement to engage as many churches as we can to pray for the schools on Sunday, August 13. Would you please be a part of this day for united prayer?

  • In your Sunday services, designate some time for praying for the schools, teachers, families and students.
  • Encourage your congregation to include your Caring for Kids school or neighborhood school in their daily prayers.
  • Encourage your congregation to prayer walk around your Caring for Kids school that Sunday after service or during the week when school is not in session.
  • Write a note of encouragement to the principals letting them know that you are praying for them, the teachers and the students.
